Social Media Intern

Poze Bazaar Foundation is looking for a creative Social Media Intern to assist our growing nonprofit. This is an exciting opportunity to significantly impact our organization’s success.

Our ideal candidates must be passionate, detail-oriented, and able to multitask. This position is flexible, Monday to Friday, and averages 10 hours per week. There is also an opportunity for this position to become a full-time role.

Job Description

A Social Media Intern, or Social Media Marketing Intern, is responsible for assisting in a range of marketing initiatives within an organization. Their duties include:

  • Tracking analytics for social media campaigns.

  • Creating social media posting schedules.

  • Writing captions for social media posts.

Duties and Responsibilities

Social Media Interns support the digital media staff to develop and implement outreach and promotional campaigns to boost brand engagement and increase revenue. The duties and responsibilities of a Social Media Intern include:

  • Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns

  • Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote company brands on various social media websites

  • Create and distribute content such as blogs, infographics, videos and press releases on social media and traditional news outlets 

  • Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability

  • Support marketing team at live and online events

Skills and Qualifications

A successful Social Media Intern candidate will have diverse educational qualifications and technical skills to deliver on the job. These include: 

  • Impeccable oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent internet research skills 

  • Mastery of the major social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Snap and Google+ 

  • Knowledge of social media analytics software including Facebook Insights, Google Analytics and Twitter Analytics to track audience engagement and campaign performance

  • Experience with content management systems, word processor applications and image/video editing software

  • You are curious and excited to learn more about social media analytics.

  • You can scope out exciting marketing moments and have brands you follow exclusively for their social presence. 

  • You are resourceful, take the initiative, and are comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Working under tight deadlines and adapting to change comes naturally to you.

  • You’re able to adapt to the ever-changing current of social media and culture.

  • You are comfortable receiving and providing feedback! You can address questions, concerns, and critiques in a clear, confident way and be able to pivot quickly based on feedback.
